Let us tell you a little bit about Sparc 🚀
SPARC FOUNDRY develops and produces photonic semiconductors as part of a strong European photonics ecosystem.
The foundry will produce PICs (Photonic Integrated Circuits) and discrete components based on Group III‑V semiconductors. It will have the capacity to develop 20,000 wafers per year with different types of technologies based on Group III‑V materials, including GaAs, InP, and GaN. These components will be used by industries around the world in sectors such as automotive, telecommunications, quantum computing, consumer electronics, defence, aerospace and medicine.
⭐ What will you do with us?
In this role as Senior Metrology Specialist, you will help defining and implementing the quality control system and metrology strategy at SPARC and support its execution in the production environment, working closely with our process and product engineering and the technology teams. You will design, optimise and sustain advanced measurement methodologies, analyse the production data, and translate metrology concepts into actionable process improvements.
Your role will combine hands-on technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration in a semiconductor production environment and external engagement with equipment vendors and service providers.
✅ Key Functions
Develop, implement and optimise advanced quality control and metrology solutions across all semiconductor production processes at the foundry.
Establish workflows, data handling and control mechanisms, enabling rapid feedback into process control.
Design experiments and statistical analyses to improve measurement precision, repeatability and throughput.
Implement and maintain measurement traceability, calibration procedures and documentation for compliance and help with accreditation and audit processes.
Support measurement system selection, integration and qualification to meet product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Work closely with process and product teams to interpret measurement results, identify root causes and drive corrective actions to improve stability, performance and yield.
Mentor and train engineers and technicians on quality control mechanisms and metrology best practices.
Communicate technical findings clearly in English to stakeholders at all levels, including technical reports and presentations.
🧠 What skill set are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Metrology Specialist to join our Quality control and Metrology team at SPARC. The successful candidate will bring deep metrology knowledge and strong technical aptitude, a pragmatic mindset and a passion for cutting-edge technology. This role requires excellent English communication, strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the motivation to drive innovation in semiconductor measurement and process control.
